I've been reading Silver's blog frantically since news broke on it, and actually just sent it around to my co-workers last night. I doubt I'll ever go that route, but you never know...there was a time about a year ago that I was seriously considering starting one up.<BR/><BR/>Affeldt's been pretty solid. His homer rate is off the charts, and that's probably bad luck. You look at 9.9 k/9, 3.6 bb/9, and a 56% GB rate from a lefthander, and you have to like him. <BR/><BR/>I think being a power lefthanded reliever is really his most valuable role, but you have to wonder if he'll get another shot at the rotation given how dreadful the Reds #5's have been.
