Park factors absolutely do affect replacement level in an absolute sense, i.e. a replacement player should hit better in Coors' than PETCO. But they should still be at ~73% of league average in that park.<BR/><BR/>My approach is to do everything I can to neutralize the runs environment, and then estimate player runs over replacement on those adjusted values. That way everyone's on a level playing field (more or less).<BR/><BR/>FWIW, the above numbers do include a park factor adjustment for the Reds, based on Patriot's stuff. It's definitely helping me think through things in terms of what makes up proper player valuation.<BR/><BR/>Excuse me if I missed this somewhere, but have park factors been taken into account in these numbers? Doesn't your theoretical replacement level run value change based upon the run environment, which includes the park? Or am I missing the park adjustments somewhere in one of the upstream calculations?
