Live and learn I guess.  &lt;BR/&gt;&lt;BR/&gt;&lt;I&gt;Some of these things that you're doing - e.g. the standard deviation bars, or plotting WPA against VORP in your 2006 Reds Hitting Review - are so interesting and informative that after seeing you do them, I'm amazed I haven't seen anyone else do them as standard practice. And that should be taken as a great compliment; it's an excellent original perspective you bring to these analyses.&lt;/I&gt;&lt;BR/&gt;&lt;BR/&gt;Thanks!  I'm really liking this graphical approach I've been taking lately. But apparently he was quite aware of his defensive shortcomings at SS.&lt;BR/&gt;&lt;BR/&gt;The use of the color bars on your graphs is a great addition.&lt;BR/&gt;&lt;BR/&gt;Some of these things that you're doing - e.g. the standard deviation bars, or plotting WPA against VORP in your 2006 Reds Hitting Review - are so interesting and informative that after seeing you do them, I'm amazed I haven't seen anyone else do them as standard practice.
