I'm sure Bowden was far more interested in Mateo, as he was a "tools" outfielder.  Bowden's love for outfielders goes far beyond the Reds' recent infatuation with infielders. :)&lt;BR/&gt;&lt;BR/&gt;And yeah, Schurholtz and his scouting crew are amazing in that regard.
